  • Student Records

Student records help schools, students, and families track academic progress. Parents and students are entitled to view and obtain copies of records as stated in the New Your City Department of Education’s (NYCDOE) Parents’ Bill of Rights and Student’s Bill of Rights. Records kept on file for current students may include:

You can find contact information for your child's school by using School Search

    Copies of Student Records

Records follow the student from school to school at the NYCDOE. The last school a student attended (or is attending) is always the best place to start when looking for student records. Former students can obtain copies of records and transcripts by contacting the last school they attended. The NYCDOE does not provide duplicate diplomas.

    More information on transcript requests.
